Our good friends at Wintercroft, the paper craft wizards, have designed this fantastic set of Commedia masks that you can construct yourself. They are ideal for teaching and learning, recommended for 13+ years.
The masks represent six of the stock characters from Commedia: Zanni, Harlequin, Columbina, Pantalone, the Doctor and the Captain. Together, these familiar types can enable the introduction of commedia dell’arte to a drama class, or be used as archetypes for storytelling with the Fool (Zanni), the Jester (Harlequin), the Sage (Columbina), the Miser (Pantalone), the Charlatan (Doctor), the Outlaw (Captain). Wintercroft have also designed a neutral mask that can be useful for introducing full face mask work or mime. How it Works:
Simply print the templates on paper, stick them to card, cut them out, match the numbers and join the tabs together. The Masks are scaled to fit an adult face but you can make children's masks by scaling down the templates when you print. The templates come with instructions for an internal head band that can be adjusted by moving the fixing points to get a snug fit.
Supplied as an instant access PDF that you can download and print on any home printer. The robust polygon construction means these masks can survive multiple uses and even performances.

In collaboration with Commedia Unmasked, in Australia, we are pleased to be able to offer this great value set of latex commedia dell’arte masks that mould smoothly to the face like a second skin. They are made from a thick, durable latex in one size that is comfortable for almost all wearers, they can be hygienically cleaned between users, and yet they are also robust.
The characters are based on classic designs, representing seven of the key masked characters that frequently appear in commedia dell’arte scenarios giving you a good range to play with: il vecchi (the old ones): Pantalone, il Dottore and Tartaglia, zanni (servants): Brighella, Arlecchino, Punchenella and the interloper: il Capitano.
Each set also includes a poster, instructions on how to care for the masks and a character list, carefully packaged in a purpose-designed storage box to protect the masks in transit.
